2N Intercom Systems
Guide for using 2N® intercom systems with Seam
Overview
2N produces Internet Protocol (IP) access control systems and elevator communications. Seam integrates with 2N IP intercoms that combine secure audio and video intercoms with an access reader. These standalone devices support direct Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) calls.
Supported Devices
This integration supports all 2N IP intercoms.
For detailed information about the 2N devices that Seam supports, see our 2N Supported Devices page.
Supported Features
We support the following features:
Programming access codes on intercoms that have a PIN pad
Device Provider Key
To create a Connect Webview that enables your users to connect their 2N devices to Seam, include the my_2n
device provider key in the accepted_providers
list. For more information, see Customize the Brands to Display in Your Connect Webviews.
Setup Instructions
You'll need to use a Company Admin account, where the multi-factor authentication (MFA) is turned off. If your company admin account requires MFA for security reasons, please create a separate account without MFA enable for dedicated API communication.
To control 2N devices using Seam, ask device owners to follow these steps:
Create a My2N account if you don’t already have one.
In My2N, add your 2N IP devices to the sites in which the devices are located.
Make sure that Remote API Access (RAA) is enabled for your My2N company. Contact [email protected] to activate RAA.
In the Seam Connect Webview, log in with your admin My2N email and password.
Select the devices you want to connect.
For each device, enter its admin username and password.
