Overview

Yacan manufactures electronic smart locks, electronic cylinders, and access control solutions for the hospitality and rental markets. Their products secure hotels, vacation homes, residential communities, offices, garages, and lockers, and support keyless entry through access codes and mobile keys. Seam integrates with online Yacan locks connected through the Yacan Gateway G2 to provide remote lock and unlock actions, as well as online access code programming.

Supported Devices

This integration supports Yacan locks that are online through a Yacan Gateway G2. The gateway enables real-time communication between Seam and your Yacan locks.
Seam supports remote lock and unlock actions only on Yacan locks that are online through a gateway. Locks without a gateway connection cannot be operated remotely.
For detailed information about the Yacan devices that Seam supports, see our Yacan Supported Devices page.

Supported Features

We support the following features:

Device Provider Key

Seam identifies these devices with the yacan device provider key. By default, a Connect Webview displays all of the stable providers that Seam supports, so your users can connect their Yacan devices without you specifying a provider list. To narrow what a Connect Webview displays, see Customize the Brands to Display in Your Connect Webviews.

Brand-Specific Restrictions

Yacan access codes are limited to a maximum of six digits. If you attempt to create a longer code, Seam returns an error.

Brand-Specific Events

Yacan reports both lock and unlock activity through a single access event. When a Yacan lock is opened, Seam receives the activity and emits the corresponding lock and unlock events, so you do not need to poll the device to track its state.

Setup Instructions

For step-by-step instructions on connecting Yacan locks to Seam — including gateway requirements and troubleshooting — see the Yacan Setup Guide.
