Overview

This guide walks you through connecting your First Alert thermostats to Seam. Your First Alert devices must already be set up and visible in the First Alert app before proceeding.

Step 1: Connect to Seam via Connect Webview

  1. Open the Connect Webview provided by your application.
  2. Select First Alert as the provider.
  3. Log in with your First Alert account credentials.
  4. Once authorized, your First Alert thermostats appear as devices in Seam.

Step 2: Verify the Connection

After connecting, verify that your First Alert thermostats appear as devices and show as online with heating, cooling, and thermostat program capabilities.

Troubleshooting

Authorization fails in Connect Webview

Verify that you are using the correct First Alert account credentials.

Devices not appearing after authorization

Ensure your First Alert thermostats are set up and online in the First Alert app. Only devices that are active and connected appear in Seam.
