Overview

This guide walks you through connecting your ASSA ABLOY Vostio access control system to Seam. Your Vostio system must already be configured and operational before proceeding.

Step 1: Create Your Vostio API Credentials

  1. Log in to the Vostio dashboard.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Settings, then select Integrations.
  3. On the Guest API tab, click Create credentials.
  4. Enter a name for the credentials and click Create credentials.
  5. Click Download credentials to save the generated credentials file. Store this file securely — if you lose it, you cannot retrieve the credentials. You would need to create new credentials and delete the old ones.

Step 2: Connect to Seam via Connect Webview

  1. Open the Connect Webview provided by your application.
  2. Select Vingcard Vostio as the provider.
  3. Enter the username, password, user pool ID, and client ID from the downloaded credentials file.
  4. Once authorized, your Vostio system, entrances, and encoders appear in Seam.

Step 3: Verify the Connection

After connecting, verify that your Vostio ACS system shows as connected, your entrances (guest doors, common doors, entrance doors, elevators) appear, and your encoders are listed.

Troubleshooting

Authorization fails in Connect Webview

Verify that you are using the correct Vostio Guest API credentials. If you have lost your credentials, log in to the Vostio dashboard and create new ones under Settings > Integrations > Guest API.

Entrances not appearing after authorization

Ensure your Vostio system has doors and rooms configured. Only entrances that are active in the Vostio system appear in Seam.

Encoder not found

Confirm that your card encoders are registered and active in the Vostio system. Inactive encoders do not appear in Seam.
