To use Seam with Sensi thermostats, ask the device owner to complete the steps below. Thermostats must already be installed and connected to Wi-Fi before proceeding.

1. Set up the Sensi mobile app

  1. Download and install the Sensi app for iOS or Android and create an account if you don’t have one.
  2. In the Sensi app, add your Sensi thermostats. The app walks you through connecting each thermostat to Wi-Fi. For details, see the Sensi installation manual for your thermostat.

2. Connect Sensi to Seam

  1. Note your login credentials for the Sensi app.
  2. In the form to connect Sensi to Seam, enter those credentials and click Submit to complete.
Sensi devices can only be registered to a single user. Make sure you’re authenticating with the user to whom the devices are registered.

Troubleshooting

If devices don’t appear after connecting your account:
  • Verify that each thermostat is online in the Sensi app.
  • Confirm you’re logging in with the account to which the thermostats are registered. Sensi devices can only belong to one user.
