# Omnitec Setup Guide

> Connect your Omnitec locks to Seam through the Rent&Pass integration.

## Overview

This guide walks you through connecting your Omnitec hotel locks to Seam. The integration works through the [Omnitec Rent\&Pass Gateway](https://www.omnitecsystems.com/products/rent-and-pass/gateway-online), so your locks must already be online and visible in the Rent\&Pass app before proceeding.

## Step 1: Locate Your Integrator Credentials

The credentials used for the Seam integration are **not** the same as the login email and password used to access the Rent\&Pass app.

To find your integrator credentials:

1. Open the Omnitec Rent\&Pass app.
2. Navigate to the **Integrator Credentials** section.
3. Note the **Username** and **Password** displayed there.

  If the "Integrator Credentials" section is not visible in your Rent\&Pass app, contact Omnitec support to have it enabled on your account.

## Step 2: Connect to Seam via Connect Webview

1. Open the [Connect Webview](/core-concepts/connect-webviews) provided by your application.
2. Select Omnitec as the provider.
3. Enter the **Integrator Credentials** from the Rent\&Pass app (not your regular app login).
4. Once authorized, your online Omnitec locks appear as devices in Seam.

## Step 3: Verify the Connection

After connecting, verify that your online Omnitec locks appear as devices and show as online with lock/unlock and access code capabilities.

## Troubleshooting

### Authorization fails in Connect Webview

Make sure you are using the **Integrator Credentials** from the Rent\&Pass app, not your regular app login email and password. These are different credentials. If the "Integrator Credentials" section is not visible in the app, contact Omnitec support.

### Locks not appearing after authorization

Ensure the Rent\&Pass Gateway is powered on and connected to Wi-Fi. Only locks that are online through the gateway are visible to Seam.

### Lock shows as offline

Check that the lock is within range of the gateway and that the gateway's Wi-Fi connection is active. Re-pair the lock with the gateway if necessary.

### Gateway connection issues

Verify that the gateway's Wi-Fi network has internet access. The gateway needs to reach Omnitec's cloud servers to relay commands from Seam.
